Covered Bridge

In shirts that say things like "I {heart} Butz Girls!" we stand in line, enjoying the waiting more than the ride itself. We see mutant carebears, pregnant nuns, and ignorant women mingling together. Later, we try to remember they last time we roasted hot dogs on skewers. Our faces red from the flames, we make our mock battles with wooden sticks still coated in marshmallow. Running up and down the hill, we laugh in the cold air as we recreate famous scenes from movies, kiss sea monsters, and wage war, all faithfully documented in an attempt to hold onto this moment forever. And as we climb back into the car, we drive off singing "Being grown up isn't half as fun as growing up. These are the best days of our lives."
